LPC January Meeting

Jan Meeting – Guest speaker - Scott Stebner is a commercial agricultural photographer who specializes in creating cinematically styled portrait of people with “grit.”
His work can be seen from international ad campaigns and magazine covers to the websites of small rural businesses.  His goal is to give every client a set of unforgettable images that will truly stand out in an era of digital overload.
His work can be seen on his website at:  www.scottstebner.com

Scott will be talking how a personal project not only saved his career but also motivated him further in his love for photography.  He will discuss what inspired this Southern California Beach Bum to do a documentary on Kansas Farmers, what he learned in the process, and vital tips and suggestions for other photographers to plan and succeed at doing their own personal projects.
Do check out his web site and see his photography.  It is amazing on how he can capture the “cowboy life”.

LumoPro LP180 Flash- $120
I ordered this Quad Sync Manual Flash last December for my Artist-in-Residence Program, but have used it less than ten times. It is seriously brand new. Attached are two pictures of it and the order invoice. It's a really great flash, but i'm just not a flash-user...and my wife thinks I should sell some gear before buying more:) and I agree.

I just checked Amazon and it's the same price as is was last year when I ordered it ($155 after shipping). Save yourself $35 and just get this one.

Canon MPE 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Lens- $725
I bought this lens from my professional photography friend in St. Louis in 2013. I have used it less than 20 times. It is in great condition and functions really well. It does have a bit of a learning curve since it is such an extreme macro lens, but it can be very fun if you have the time and patience.

For specs and features check their website http://squarespace.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=67ffcfed7bc94e70b703d68ad&id=80515ff36c&e=5993a843b8 or

B&H has three used ones right now for $769, $869 and $889, so buy local and save $$:)

Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX
I bought this great macro flash brand new from Canon in 2013 for $829.99 (as the receipt shows). I am just not a flash photographer, so even though I tried, I used it fewer than 20 times for sure...maybe even fewer than 10. There is not one speck of dirt or sign of wear. It is seriously in brand new condition.

LPC December meeting

This will be an informal gathering to talk about all the photography topics you want with fellow photographers.  There will be a continuous slide show of photos from any of you that want to contribute.  It can holiday themed or your vacation this past summer or just some of your best shots.  Send them in!!  I think we all enjoy seeing what each of us are doing and where your interests are.  These can be new or old photos, so dig into the archives and send in your photos.  The last few meetings have been about what has inspired your photography and the directions you have taken.  Here is an opportunity to share more of this with the group.

There will be light snacks and beverages served.  If you would like to contribute to the food part of the festivities please contact Sue or me.

Send in your photos to Paul no later than Dec 3rd so he has time to put together a great slide show.  There is no limit on the number of photos but keep in mind others will be sending some in to.  If you want to send in one or two that is okay as well as if you want to send over 10 or more.  Just give us your best, your holiday memories, your fun ones, travel sites and anything else you find interesting.

There will be a small meeting to get started then just enjoy the show and the nibbles and best of all the comradery.

The Photo Community Studio is located at 720 E. 9th St.
