History
The Lawrence Photography Club, formerly known as the Lawrence Photo Alliance, was founded in 1984 to serve as a network for sharing interest in the arts, skills and tips, to organize exhibits, and to promote the art of photography.

Members have diverse backgrounds and interests in all types of photography and post processing methods, film and digital, including darkroom processing and digital editing in programs such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Many members have participated in juried and individual shows, and some have had work published in magazines and journals.

Meetings
Everyone is welcome to attend our club meetings, so come to a few and check them out! If you decide to become a member, dues are collected at the beginning of the year (see below).

Meetings include a short program, with frequent guest speakers who address various aspects of photography. Recent programs have included speakers on travel photography, wildlife photography, and fine art portraits, as well as "share and learn" sessions on photo editing.

Occasionally we have field trips to explore new areas to photograph and other sites of interest. In the spring of 2015 we did a group tour at the Nelson Art Gallery imaging services department.
